I would of been happy at the return of my acres..But it seems the lil lost Goblin called in some friends, Now I have to do the math and figure out how to retrieve my acres from the whole lot.

So since it was a consortium effort to take the land, I feel it only prudent to share said acres with my TRR companions.

If I told you the plan was to be small this age I am not sure anyone would believe me :P

On the flip side its very nice other then making it harder to war. We have people who have never played guilds before, people who have come back after a long time away and I am not sure if anyone is really ready to run a guild, heck I am pretty sure I am the last one who should be in charge but its what we got. At this point the more the merrier especially if some others start coming back and joining other faiths. We can hope at least.

Hear hear to that! If some folks can get an age or two in under their belts again, perhaps they'll be ready to step forward and share in the fun ;)

TRR has been doing its level best to keep my attention focused solely upon them this age. Probably why they aren't getting bigger acre wise.

I told you if you leave me alone I will spread the pain evenly. But no, you keep sending people at me as if it is going to change the outcome.

Come take my land, kids - just be aware I usually kill those who attack me lulz

Couple of things.

Carlos,

You remember a few ages back I recommend you split your guild in half, you run it as two guilds instead of one? I'd still recommend that so that it is easier to get wars in and not make this an age of building.

Also kudos for recruiting people either new or back.

Sturm,

You can't deal with goblins, you will always lose more then you gain. You may beat us down, but we will rise up and kill your lands quicker then you could imagen, and then we will salt the aches we take from you making it impossible for you to gain back what you lost.

So bring you worse, it will only hurt you more then me.

I am not against it, just the idea of trying to lead two guilds is giving me headaches. Honestly if someone else was ready to lead a guild I am sure they would have already done so and I don't think anyone is there yet. We got lucky, I didn't really recruit anyone just a bunch of people came back or decided to give it a go from Bloodbath. We thought there would only be 3 of us with Stee and G taking a break and the guild G moving to Leto.

On the flip side I know you guys like to do what you want to do, but you could viably go to war other then just random and just not worry about the outcome and add a few more kingdoms to Angie for more potential targets. I mean I would prefer not to be going back and forth with you guys while having to worry about other guilds who don't seem to care that Goblins is involved one way or another.

Honestly were only hitting you guys because you hit us first. You have shown you will hit us whether we hit your or not. Its kind of a losing battle due to the turns going up versus down, we can do nothing and lose kingdoms or waste turns and do damage that doesnt really affect you and still lose kingdoms. At least people can't be upset if were trying to avenge the loss of kingdoms. Well I hope at least.

I ran EF and Forgotten "back in the day" for quite some time. I'm talking back when if I logged on to ICQ the thing went bonkers and I missed more classes in College than I attended :? Hell, I started Forgotten to run a small Guild of 20, that made us something like the 12th biggest Barnie Guild at the time lol. Things sure have changed. I really wish I could dig up The Expeditionary Forces Charter but I wouldn't even know where to begin.

I hear ya Carlos.

Dauthi is right..the size of you is...crazy?

While you're avg networth is small, once your players get a feel and start getting big again, you'll basically be begging for faith war. Well..then again, since all Barnies are in a single guild, I suppose when you go to war, it IS Faith war!

NO rush though--your large numbers are currently offset by the rust on your members. Once that rust is off and the swords are sharp, it could be very unbalancing, though.

Until then--the Goblins, I'm sure, will enjoy preying on the weak--which is what they do.

Joe, I am not sure about dangerous but your right its definitely unbalancing. I have an idea I will put in to place soon that should help and let us still interact as one unit socially. I don't want to split people up but we have a few people from the Philippines(here is hoping they are okay) and once we know everyone is okay we will discuss it. Part of me would like to just split kingdoms between two but I think the chances of wanting to interfere with other kingdoms could be to great for some especially those new to guilds.

Ocelot I am not putting pressure on anyone yet to start a guild and we enjoy having you. I looked around the archived stuff from the old monarchy site.(http://www.evernight.com/) and couldn't find any reference to either guild but I know they both existed so its probably before they had a back up of everything. There is a lot of nostalgia there which can suck you in. I got lost on that site for hours one night its amazing to look back at all the fun even when it was Unity. I also did some Google searches but no luck yet, I used to have some old stuff saved I will see if it still on an old hard drive, small chance but it doesn't hurt to look..

Just lost a solid hour to that site. Dammit. Though it was funny to find BDSMs old charter and realize/remember I had inherited it in the end... Honestly I had forgotten it was in guilds, I remember it being in Void or Maxim. Maybe it moved to guilds from one of those, my memory is so foggy :(

The problem with the guild charter database, is that it's based on whatever game the guild is linked to. That doesn't actually mean the guild ever played in the specific game. There were times - generally when a guilded game closed - that someone would move guilds in the back-end from a closed game to an open game.

Anyway, if a guild is not listed in the old guilds database then it was never re-created after the late 2002 data-loss. A lot of good stuff went to the realm of memory when that happened including a HUGE chunk of Maxim roleplay and a LOT of charters :( A lot happened activity-wise in the first two years after leaving Shareplay (2001 and 2002).

A lot can still be found in the wayback machines archive (and not just the archive I have linked on the evernight site, you should query the wayback machine directly). Charter-wise, it doesn't help that for guest users (e.g. the wayback machine web crawler) there was an issue with the view guild charter page back at the beginning of Evernight and throughout the Shareplay days. Basically, even if you manage to find an old index of the guild rankings, chances are when you click the charter link you'll find an error page in the wayback cache instead of the charter.
