A cloud is visible composition of a minute particles of dust, and other infinitely tiny minerals, water, and in some formations, ice. There are water clouds and ice clouds.
Types of clouds a decided by color, size, the distribution of particles, and elevation. the types also depends upon the color and intensity of the light from the sun and reflected light; on demmensions, shape, composition; and finally on the luminosity and colors as seen from the point of observvation,
Luminosity of clouds is determined by the amount of light from the sun, light reflected by the constituent particals, and light reflected from the earth surface. Haze affecting the color also must be determined. At night it is difficult to determine the type of cloud when the moon is less than one-half or when it is behind high thin clouds.
It is more difficult to learn cloud names than it is to learn the names of their neighbors and the members of their families and how they behave! Each have a common surname, yet each differs in physical characteristics-such as complections, hair color of texture-that distinguish them as different, yet of the same family......

Okay, Owly,
After emailing a few people, I've got the group for you: http://www.lvastronomy.com/
They have a strong outreach arm that's always looking for volunteers.
Also, if you're just interested in going to a few planetarium shows, you can check out CSN's Planetarium: http://www.csn.edu/about/campuslife/planetarium/ . They're less about outreach as edutainment.
I hope LVA can help you!
